  3. God’s Eternal Purpose • Ephesians 3:10-12 • The Gospel of Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16)

Who Are the Saved? • Those known of God before the foundation of the world (see Ephesians 1:3-4; Revelation 13:8) • Those known beforehand have been called by the gospel (see Romans 3:28-29; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14). • Justified by faith through God’s grace (Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 1:7) • Baptized for FORGIVENESS (Acts 2:38; 22:16; Matthew 28:18-20)

How did People in Bible days become Christian? • There are NINETEEN examples of people hearing the gospel preached unto them in the book of Acts. • Each case states that “Jesus was preached unto them.” • What is preaching Jesus? • Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6)
