  5. WHAT IS LEADERSHIP? Leadership has many definitions: • Leadership is the offspring of intelligence and charisma that is used to get a group of people to do what they would not normally do on their own. –Anonymous Marine • Leadership is inspiring people to consistently do what you do when you are not around. –Anonymous First Sergeant • Good or bad, you know you are a leader when people are following you. When it comes to Leadership and Leaders: • Obedience to leaders is good only if those leaders prove themselves worthy to lead. • Association breeds assimilation.
