The Pipeline to Prison is a National Movementthat’s Failing our Children of color African Americans Students in SFUSD • Nearly 213 African American High School Students (class of 2014) are not on track to Graduate • African American Students are Less than 10% of enrollment but are more than 50% of Total School Suspension Students of Color in SFUSD • African American & Latino Students account for more than 80% of total Suspensions • African American & Latino Students account for more than 75% of Defiance Suspensions African Americans Students in California • 21,000 Total Students Expelled • 757,000 Total Suspensions

  3. BREAKING NEWS:“WE WANT TO KNOW ACTIVITY” • BE HONEST , BE OPEN • FAMILY + SCHOOL = SAFER COMMUNITIES • STOP THE PUSH OUT, SPREAD THE NEWS, GET INVOLVED.

  6. Are you a part of the problem? Or the solution? The Children's Defense Fund says: • if we think we or our organization are spending more money on alcohol & entertainment than scholarships , books and tutoring, rites of passage and mentoring programs, then we are a part of the problem rather than the solution to ensuring positive vision and alternatives for children in our increasingly coarse culture. • And if we think we have our and don’t owe anytime or money or effort to help children left behind out sight and out of mind in prison the we are a part of the problem rather than the solution to the fraying social fabric and violence and inequality that drives the Pipeline that threatens all American and the very meaning and soul of America Dignity in Schools say: • Every young person has the human right to a high quality education and to learn in a safe, respectful school environment that protects Human Dignity “YOUR FUTURE ALSO DEPENDS ON HOW WELL WE SHAPE OUR YOUTH TODAY” … QUEEN VANESSA B.
