  5. CASE STUDY • The 4 stages in Scott and Jaffe‘s (1991) change model are: • 1. Creating the Vision reflecting current political initiatives 2. Resistance/Developing a frame work for the ideas 3. Exploration/piloting and building the concept 4. Commitment /Validation/birth of the idea into reality

  6. CHANGE PROCESS 4.Commitment: Enabling 1.Creating: Holding 3.Exploration: Engaging 2. Resistance: Intending

CREATING : HOLDING • Building on the credibility of running long standing CYW courses • Feasibility work and pilot courses • Good dialogue • Identify Opportunities of collaboration across and within in HE /FE • Continue dialogue about current ‘youth’ policy initiatives and core of good practice

  8. RESISTANCE : INTENDING • Develop transparent opportunities for collaboration • Design ways of progressing that are collaborative –time for core staff to work together and refine and review current training courses • Create

  9. EXPLORATION : ENGAGING • Run joint training events • Continue to review and share good and existing practice

  10. COMMITMENT : ENABLING • Complete validation process • Devise structures for continued support and development • Tie up any loose ends
