  3. Checkout Two-week checkout: • Assessments • Leveled books • Student resource books • Call or stop by to renew Return materials before the end of the semester. Same-day checkout: • Teaching materials (games, manipulatives, calculators, etc.) Return materials before you leave the CLC.

  4. Tutoring Before you begin tutoring, please: • Check out assessments • Call parents • Reserve manipulatives (games, flashcards, any resources from the materials room, etc.) WELL in advance of the session. At the very latest these should be set aside one hour beforehand. • Meet your student and check him/her into tutoring by signing your initials on the sign-in sheet

  5. Tutoring During tutoring, please: • Escort your student to your tutoring location and also back to the student’s guardian. • Stay with your student at all times. Escort students to the drinking fountain and wait for them outside of the restroom. • Ensure that your student wears his/her nametag.

  6. Tutoring Aftertutoring, please: • Stay with your student until the parent arrives. • Return your student’s nametag to the basket. • Initial the sign-in sheet to indicate that your students has been returned to his/her parent/guardian.

  7. Tutoring At all times, please: • Dress appropriately and professionally • Use appropriate language • Consider that parents and children are visitors to CSU and that you are a campus ambassador. Keep conversation positive, and be friendly and helpful to visitors.

  8. Tutoring Emergencies • Immediately notify Amy Justice and your professor. • If you anticipate having to miss a tutoring session please call Amy Justice—never cancel a tutoring session.
