2. Do you buy music magazines? This graph shows that majority of boys aged 19-20 buy magazines; all the 20 year olds that were questioned read magazines, whereas all the 18 year olds that were surveyed don’t read magazines

3. How much would you pay for a music magazine? This clearly shows that the most boys would pay for a music magazine is between £1-£4 with the majority wanting to pay nothing this leads me to think that the magazine should be in the region of these prices, mainly in the £2 market.

4. What attracts you the most on the front cover of a magazine? From this research I can see that the main thing that attracts teenage boys to the front cover of the magazine is the text and the image

5. How often do you read a magazine? This graph show a pretty even result chart. Most buy magazines once a month and the rest of the boys seem to either never buy a magazine or once a week.

6. What would you prefer the artist/musician to look like? There is an even correlation of posed and laid back results.

7. What colours would attract you to the magazine? This chart shows that boys tend to prefer black red and blue, bold colours these are the results that I expected from the magazine research.

8. What would you prefer your magazine to look like? An unsuprising result for how boys prefer there magazine set out. A messy magazine is favoured for boys as they tend to be more disorganised that girls.

9. Do you prefer text or imagery? There is a suprising result of text:imagery which has a very even result, this may have something to do with the older audience (20 year olds) wanting to read more than a 16 year old would.

10. Would a cover mount attract you to purchase the magazine? The majority want a cover mount or don’t care. This therefore shows that a cover mount is not necessary to my magazine.

11. What type of font size do you prefer? Medium and large are the two favourite size fonts which isn't surprising for a magazine.

12. What typeface attracts you the most? An unsurprising result where bold is favoured and boys may find that italic writing is to feminine. Bold is a much more masculine typeface.
