Take away message today: • Altruism: fundamental motivation • Empathy is hard wired –based on mirror neuron system • As Clinicians: • This may be the most important issue in social psychology, Implications: • Diversity, Anger, Family conflicts • Patients problems (most patients) • Inequity & unhappiness
