  3. 2019 ScenarioPalmetto Cyber Defense College • Previous IT staff was fired for incompetence • 6 laptops available for 6 team members running network • Secure/know your network, X minutes till Red Team attacks, may be scanned from the beginning • Will maintain Zimbra Email • Wordpress for website • Moodle for grading, catalog and curriculum management system • Protect PII • Accounts management • Protect critical services that are scored • Need to complete injects/business operation requests (approximately 12) on-time throughout the day • Services and Injects are scored approximately 50/50 • CISCO IP phones • Identify maleware & intrusions • Each team will have a physical edge router • Social Engineering from Red Team authorized • Various OSs: Windows, Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Linux, WSUS TStatement A: Approved for Public Release. PCDC Gold Team 2019 • Need to ID POC to deliver Blue team packet 24 hours in advance for a 3 days. • Lonnie Cowart (SSC Atlantic) has offered up 3 additional 40” monitors w/stands • Augmented Reality will not be a reality this year • GDIT wiring of PCDC network at TTC on 4/12/18. Need to use gaffers tape on carpet • New server rack UPS & cables/connectors, switch and edge routers, Status: Marcy has, will delivery Friday • VM initial builds status: had problems w/Azure • OOB Virtual Systems build out started • Looking to work until 6 on Thur and Fri and maybe a weekend at Parsons

PCDC 2019 • PCDC/TTC coordination meeting 1300 on Tues, 5 March • Offer choices for staff shirts (pullover, long/short sleeve T-shirts, polo) – Heather Slate will be primary color- Karen Cooke-google forms completed and distributed – Will order early March with blue tooth speakers • PCDC Logo cups, banners, flags, lanyards, coins (30 day lead time), table runners ordered/paid for on 25 March • TTC again providing flash drive swag • Tentative offer from Lowes to provide snacks & beverages–B. Miller • Coke offer? -Stephanie Schumacher still looking into it • Shopping trip • Looking at compensation for out of town Red team members • $100 restaurant gift certificates? • Travel compensation (hotel) • Going back to microwavable PCDC logo mugs for this year • Need 1 page PowerPoints from each sponsor

High Schools • Mentoring continuing, registration forms received from all but PG and PSA • 15 Mentors (SPAWAR and Contractors) currently assigned and mentoring • 137 middle and high school teams registered for 2018/2019 in South Carolina. 6,387 teams worldwide • AAST out of Myrtle Beach is in its first PCDC • Will have two empty team areas that are for College Day • Laptops for the schools?   17. 2019 Palmetto Digital Forensics Competition (PDFC), 13 April – Bill Littleton, Lead Collegiate and High School competitions Sat, 13 April with teams of up to 3 students each Planning on 60 participants at each of 3 sites: Charleston, Norfolk & DC. VTC awards ceremony Pre-Registration required to guarantee slot: http://www.palmettodfc.com/ Reserved slots for students from high schools that finished in top 6-15 in CyberPatriot Prizes: Logo Blue Tooth Speakers. Still working out other prizes Objective: Solve as many forensic scenarios as possible within the allotted time and accumulate the most points possible Participants were provided access to forensic scenario exercises ranging in difficulty. Each exercise required the participant to utilize different forensic techniques to uncover a designated “flag”. Flags will be unique to each scenario which can range from date/time stamps, hashes, passwords, etc. TStatement A: Approved for Public Release. Distribution is unlimited (8 June 2017).

Cyber-In-The Middle – Karen Cooke, Lead • PCDC’s 2nd Annual Middle School Program was attended by almost 90 local middle school students on Day 1 of PCDC • New* - CitM Lego Demo in Expo area • Influencing 7th & 8th graders before they decide on high school track • Curriculum had three - 45 minute modules: • PCDC Events (Red team, Blue team, Forensics) • Computer Deconstruction (and Reconstruction) • Into to Cyber (modified from Cyber Camp) • One session in morning (9-1200) and another in the afternoon (1-4 PM) TStatement A: Approved for Public Release.
