  4. 2019 ScenarioPalmetto Cyber Defense College • Previous IT staff was fired for incompetence • 6 laptops available for 6 team members running network • Secure/know your network, X minutes till Red Team attacks, may be scanned from the beginning • Will maintain Zimbra Email • Wordpress for website • Moodle for grading, catalog and curriculum management system • Protect PII • Accounts management • Protect critical services that are scored • Need to complete injects/business operation requests (approximately 12) on-time throughout the day • Services and Injects are scored approximately 50/50 • CISCO IP phones • Identify maleware & intrusions • Each team will have a physical edge router • Social Engineering from Red Team authorized • Various OSs: Windows, Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Linux, WSUS • Red, Gold, Injects & Orange coordination meeting: 6 or 20 Feb TStatement A: Approved for Public Release. PCDC Gold Team 2019 • Prestaging at Parsons has begun. • Lonnie Cowart (SSC Atlantic) has offered up 3 additional 40” monitors w/stands for teams 9 &10 and scrolling display. • Augmented Reality may focus on scoring display. S. Shumacher and R. Jenkins will take lead coordinating with Applings Studio. Will test with firewall. • Confirmed GDIT wiring of PCDC network at TTC on 4/12/18. Need to use gaffers tape on carpet, not painters tape. • Ordering for new server rack UPS & cables/connectors, switch and edge routersforwarded to AFCEA on 23 Jan. • VM development is underway, Chris Sullivan leading • Adding two teams has required additional resources, including 20 laptops

PCDC 2019 • PCDC/TTC coordination meeting in mid Feb • Met with Gina Cowan at image graphics on 16 Jan: • Will not be procuring magnets • Will be ordering PCDC table overlays and banner(s) for front stage. Will be getting proofs shortly including feather flags • Will offer choices for staff shirts (pullover, long/short sleeve T-shirts, polo) – Heather Slate will be primary color • Will be getting proofs on banners, flags, etc • TTC again providing flash drive swag • Open to new ideas for swag, prizes • Looking at compensation for out of town Red team members • $100 restaurant gift certificates? • Travel compensation (hotel) • Swag bags (ECPI or SPAWAR) and bottles (SPAWAR)?? • Going back to microwavable PCDC logo mugs for this year • Updating Blue team mentor kick-off brief and will hold brief as soon as we have CyberPatriot results

  13. High Schools • Teams have completed qualifying round of CyberPatriot. Awaiting results and lining up Blue Team mentors • Will continue to rotate mentors every two hours • Looking to increase quantity of Blue Team mentors that go out to schools starting in Feb for at least 1.5 hours/week. Can by gov’t or contractor, must have background check. Mentoring starts in early February • 137 middle and high school teams registered for 2018/2019 in South Carolina. 6,387 teams worldwide • Netlabs made available for training

Collegiate Day • Will again utilize SECCDC Remote Virtual Qualifier – Letter of intent/early registration: 15 Feb; Regular Reg: 8 Feb; Late Reg: 15 Feb Remote virtual qualifier: 23 Feb; On-site: 3/4 April • Will hold two Q&A Sessions in March • US Navy Academy backed out, offer now to Duke • Top 2 year school earns Tech School Challenge trophy. • Email sent reminding 4 years schools of the dates for SECCDC qualifier • Email sent to 11 two year Tech schools introducing PCDC, providing qualifier dates and info regarding TTC PCDC webinar (Tonya Davis/SPAWAR colab) tentatively scheduled for 19 Feb.   16. 2019 Palmetto Digital Forensics Competition (PDFC), 13 April – Bill Littleton, Lead Collegiate and High School competitions Sat, 13 April with teams of up to 3 students each Planning on 60 participants at each of 3 sites: Charleston, Norfolk & DC. VTC awards ceremony Pre-Registration required to guarantee slot: http://www.palmettodfc.com/ Reserved slots for students from high schools that finished in top 6-15 in CyberPatriot Separate sponsorships will go through local AFCEA chapters at remote locations Still working out prizes Objective: Solve as many forensic scenarios as possible within the allotted time and accumulate the most points possible Participants were provided access to forensic scenario exercises ranging in difficulty. Each exercise required the participant to utilize different forensic techniques to uncover a designated “flag”. Flags will be unique to each scenario which can range from date/time stamps, hashes, passwords, etc. TStatement A: Approved for Public Release. Distribution is unlimited (8 June 2017).
