  2. Lifespan of Christopher Columbus • 1451-1506 was Christopher Columbus’s lifespan. • Columbus died 2 years after he stopped exploring, in which he explored during the years of 1492-1504.

  3. Where Christopher Columbus Sailed From • Columbus sailed for King Ferdinand the second and Queen Elizabeth of Spain, in which he sailed from Spain.

  4. How many voyages did Columbus make? • Christopher Columbus sailed a total of four voyages.

  5. Why did Columbus go on his voyages? • Columbus made his voyages in hope of finding another trade route to India, but instead landed in America without even knowing he did so.

  6. What parts of the world did Columbus travel? • Columbus sailed the Atlantic ocean toward the West to try to go East round the world to India, but wasn’t successful and only explored the Western part of the world.

  7. Result and Effect • One of the results was the discovery of America. • Columbus’s discovery of America led to the First Globalization.

  8. Additional Information • Christopher Columbus took three ships on his voyages, the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. • Christopher Columbus sailed in the Santa Maria until the ship sank in Hispaniola, then he transferred to the Nina.
