  2. November 7, 2011 - Touching Spirit Bear - chapter 23 comprehension Homework Finish storyboard. Be sure to include paraphrase, colored pictures (showing ACTION) and text / quotes. This counts as a QUIZ grade! Lesson Essential Question How can a visual storyboard help me better understand sequence of events? Warm Up In your notes, write the terms storyboard and sequential order. Use the glossary in the back of your Literature book to define sequential order .

  6. We will now read the beginning ofchapter 23 ofTouching Spirit Bear together, then you will read about the dance of anger on your own. Read the rest of the chapter completely through first. Then go back and reread it. This time, as you go through, number each stage of Cole's dance of anger, breaking it down into 8 steps. Anytime he does something new, this should be a new number. On your storyboard, paraphrase what he does and underneath, draw a visual. Under that, write your supporting text. Be sure to include quotes and specifics from the text in your storyboard!

  9. Homework Finish darwing and coloring your storyboard. Make it neat and be creative. Be sure your pictures show action and include all quotes, along with supporting text for each paraphrase. This counts as a QUIZ grade!
