  3. The Current Situation 60% of Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) have invested in their own Claims Management Systems (CMS) to manage claims.

Where is the Project Today D2D began pilot testing in June 2013: Eight pilot participants include AMVETS and the States of California, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia AMVETS, California, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky and Virginia have successfully completed network and application connectivity in VA’s development and test environments Kansas, Georgia, Tennessee, VFW and Kentucky have successfully completed network connectivity response service in April. The remaining VSO pilot organizations, Illinois and California, will follow

VBA Goals • Since February 2013, over 1,300 VSOs have registered with SEP. • By the end of FY14, the goal is to have over 2,000 registered VSOs. • Since the 526ez went electronic, more than 49,139 claims have been submitted electronically. • Goal by FY14 is to have 2,000+ claims submitted per week. • By the end of 2014, as D2D goes live, it is projected that more than 1,000 claims per week will be submitted.
