Instigates Arab Riots • Hay Craft/Shaw Commission- investigated Arab Riots • Winston Churchill- White Paper of 1922- calmed Arab fear that a Jewish State was going to be established in Palestine. Acknowledged historical right to settle there. • Sir Hope Simpson- Arabs suffering from unemployment because of Jewish businesses only hiring Jews- • controversy
