  5. About SOES SOES is located on 300 hectares of land adjacent to Algonquin Park, providing a unique and unheard of experience for our students to visit some of Ontario’s most remote landscape. The old Scarborough Board of Ed. bought the property in 1978 and it has been in operation for students ever since. SOES staff are AMAZING at helping students connect with nature in a meaningful, safe, learning environment.
