Truancy Diversion Process • Attendance Flyers sent home 1st day of school • Referral from school attendance designee • 3 day attendance letter-US Mail • 5 day attendance letter/ CA2- mailed certified or delivered by the Sheriff’s department • Phone calls • Home visits • Meetings at the school • Diversion contracts • File either juvenile petition or warrant

Truancy Interventionist • Open house at the beginning of the school year • Monitor’s daily attendance of at risk students: school visits home visits student/parent conferences phone calls notification attendance letters to elementary parents (5- 10 days) linkage and referrals to community services diversion contracts (secondary school students) deliver legal notices, court hearings, probation revocation notices • Attend Pre-K and Kindergarten registrations

State Miniature Golf • 4th nine weeks- McDonalds Fun Meal Youth Museum Pass Middle/High School • 1st nine weeks- Chick Fli A Sandwich • 2nd nine weeks- Leisure Lanes Bowling Alley • Semester- One Little Ceasar’s Pizza Party per school • 3rd nine weeks- McDonalds Sandwich Mt. State Miniature Golf • 4th nine weeks- McDonalds Extra Value Meal Outdoor Theater Pass Year One Pool Pass to a student with perfect attendance for the year for his/her family Also, each school has their own attendance incentive program.
