PROPOSED TENTATIVE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEES • We are ready to take active part in the composition of the scientific committee similarly as we contributed to the previously hosted FEBS Congresses ad IUB Congress. • The first intended step is to contact Prof. Angelo Azzi (President of the IUBMB Executive Committee) , Prof. Michael P. Walsh (Secretary General of the IUBMB) , Prof. Israel Pecht (Secretary General of FEBS), prof. Stathis Gonos (IUBMB Executive Committee Member for Congresses and Conferences) and Prof. Adam Szewczyk (FEBS Executive Committee Member and Congress Councelor) to earn their advice for the selection of the candidate members of the International Scientific Committee.

PROPOSED SCIENTIFIC TITLE AND TOPICS • Our staff of experienced organizers is prepared to take active part in the composition of the scientific program as we did during previously organized FEBS Congresses ad IUB Congress in Prague • One of the main topics may be the new field of synthetic biology.Otherwise we shall extend the topics developed at the Congresses in Seville (2012)and Foz de Iguazu (2015) • We propose contacting Prof. Angelo Azzi (President of the IUBMB Executive Committee), Prof. Michael P. Walsh (Secretary General of the IUBMB Executive Committee), Prof. Adam Szewczyk (FEBS Executive Committee Member and Congress Counselor) and other members of the IUBMB and FEBS Councils to seek their advice for the selection of candidate members of the Scientific Committee

IMPORTANT NOTES • The tentative Organizing Committee assures the selection of a qualified Professional Congress Organizer (PCO ). • We assume 2.500 paying delegates but IUBMB 2012 and 2015 will help substantially to an accurate forecast. • A specialized team is responsible for achieving the targets for exhibition and sponsorship income. • The Prague city authorities are offering the follow supportive package: • 10 EUR / delegate incentive - 30.000 EUR • Free municipal transportation pass for each delegate – 45.000 EUR • 20% discount on the rentals in the Prague Congress Centre – 80.000 EUR • The Mayor of Prague City is willing to host a reception for e.g.invited speakers and guests at his Residence (capacity up to 150-200 guests). • Individual IUBMB member associations may have their dinner meetings in one of the Prague palaces representation buildings or other place of interest.

  33. INNOVATIVE AND COST-EFFECTIVE SERVICES • Handheld Congress Applications (APPS): It is suggested to provide the optional service of FREE Mobile Apps for each delegate. It will be made available for all of the most popular platforms: • Create your agenda and full program access • Receive news and announcements • Message exchange and set up appointments with participants • WEBCASTING:Possibility to register online to follow selected live presentations (e.g. Opening ceremony, plenaries, closing ceremony) via webcasting. The delegate will be registered as virtual delegate.
