  2. Schedule Change Forms There is a gap in my schedule. I am senior and need a course to graduate. I do not meet the pre-requisite for a class on my schedule. I am a senior and have failed a course that I need to complete graduation requirements. I have taken a class previously and received credit. • Orange form and transcript must be submitted • to counseling office • by your advisory teacher within 5 days • TODAY

  3. What if YOU don’t have an ID?? • Go to Mr. Smith’s office, TODAY 2007 B • (3rd door on the left after leaving the Bulldog Lobby) Beginning Monday September 27th ID’s will be made in the NEW downstairs administration area

Student Envelopes & Student Handbooks Take Home and Return: DUE: Friday Aug 24th • Application for Meal Benefits • Military Opt-out Form • PTSO Membership Form • Bilingual Registration Form • Student Digital Resources Use Policy • Student Health Department Form • Receipt of Policies DUE TODAY If you don’t have your forms turned in…..then bring to NEW Upstairs Administration Area on MONDAY to Ms. Richardson to avoid being called to your SLC principal’s office

Dates you might want to remember……... 1st Semester: 1st Quarter (41 days): ends October 17th End of First Semester (40 days): December 20th 2nd Semester: Beginning of 3rd Quarter: January 3rd 3rd Quarter (48 days): ends March 13th End of Second Semester (49 days): May 31st Spring Break: March 18-22

New Semester Grading System Final grade for Semester based on: 80% Entire semester daily average 20% Final Exam Semester Grades used to compute GPA and Class Rank Class Rank is Calculated End of Junior Year End of 1st Semester Senior Year End of 2nd Semester Senior Year Classes with absences in excess of 12 will have an “NC” on transcript to indicate No-Credit. If the student receives an “F” in the course, that grade will be factored into GPA calculation

  8. Credits and Class Status Sophomores = 5 Credits Junior = 10 Credits Senior = 16 Credits To Graduate you must have completed 24 Credits based on state and local graduation requirements.

Credit Recovery Program….3 Options • Credit Recovery Class on student’s schedule • Students can earn 1.0 credits per semester with a maximum of 2.0 credits per year. • Student will only be limited to enroll in one period of Credit Recovery during a school year without special approval by an administrator . • Night School • Night school meets Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00 PM, Room 1107 • Applications: • Counseling office • Student Resources tab at www.fayar.net/fhs • Summer School- • A maximum of one (1.0) credit may be earned each summer. • The dates and times will be announced during the last nine weeks of school. • Applications under student resources at www.fayar.net/fhs

  19. Parents can not check out students during lunch time unless they physically enter the building and sign their student out at the attendance office.
