  5. Encouraging The Tempted B. They know Jesus Christ as their Savior! 1. Galatians 6:1 Restoregently!1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2. 1 John 1:9 Encourage confession! 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Encouraging The Tempted 3. 2 Peter 1:3 Realize God has providedeverything!3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4. Romans 8:28-29 Called to be like Jesus! 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

  7. Encouraging The Tempted 5. 1 Corinthians 10:13 13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. • Common to man • God is faithful • Protects from too much temptation • Provides a way out

Ephesians 4:22-24 Put off - Puton!22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
