  2. Ownership • I would really like to do this trait next. I think it would really benefit some of our students. • When students are sent to my office, they have to fill out a referral packet that asks them what parts of the situation they can control and what parts they can’t. • Basically, the idea is to teach students that they have control over their own actions and that it doesn’t matter what someone else does to them they have to maintain that control and own their actions.   4. Just a reminder to get those observation sheets back to me as soon as you have a date you would like me to observe Would like to have all observations and evaluations done by March 1 Formal observation sheets

  5. Science Standards workshop February 16 RTI Team Support February 15 Anyone want to be a part of the NeSA math contrasting group? We need to have a couple from our district. This is how they set cut scores, so it is important to participate. Professional Development

February 2 & 3 • Write student lunch #’s rather than names- you can put post-its with names on them during the test to make distributing materials easier • Please return your folders, transparencies, and any extras to me. I just use those again each year. • Turn in all completed writing assessments to me as well • 4th grade won’t get their materials until the test date Writing assessment

If you need any help administering the prep tests or pulling up reports please let me know At this point, I would use a lot of this information to drive your instruction It may be necessary to deviate from the text slightly in order to cover material You can use the same stories but perhaps adjust the skills Math may require additional pull in to complete all the objectives on the test Nesa reading and math prep tests

  8. Don’t forget about STARS science and s.s. in grades 2 and 5 STARS science and s.s

  9. The number of students requiring intervention can be reduced when quality instruction is provided.
