  5. Making of a Webcast, what do you need ? • Add a camera to video tape the event. • Add computers to take the video and convert for the webcast. • Add the Internet to get the global reach. • Put them all together and you have a live webcast.

  7. What is Clarke Webcast? • Not a replacement to being in the audience. • Not a replacement for watching the event on television. • Includes everyone who could not attend in person. • A way to broadcast information globally that would be impossible to do through print, television, or radio.

  8. Mastering the Content • Content: the most important element in the making of a Webcast. • Content consists of news and features, jokes, weather, sports scores, gossip, audio clips, cartoons, and more.

  9. Webcast Success • Improved the webcast content based on user response. • Expanded all possibilities to utilize the latest technology in webcasting. • Based on alumni interest, target events with the highest response. • Our goal: Keeping the alumni involved as part of Clarke’s future.

  11. The Five Principles of Structure • Balance – Creates the mood • Contrast – Impact appeal • Unity – Communicates the message through value and color • Value – Mood, movement, and direction • Color – Adds dimension

  12. Making of a Logo • Idea No. 1 - Old TV with a picture of a world hooked to a mouse. Resembles old and new. • Idea No. 2 - World with antenna - connection around the world to Clarke. • Idea No. 3 - TV connected to the the world, resembles a ‘50s TV with an antenna.

  14. Finish the Logo • Font selected was Magneto resembled “George Jetson.” • An ellipse was used to enclose the word “Clarke” and was shaded with blue metallic and embossed to resemble a ‘50s Chevy.

Attendees need only a PC equipped with a streaming media player, Internet connection and browser.  With this new technology the excitement and practicality of streaming media enhances relationships with former alumni classmates in a uniquely "alive" environment.   The commitment of Clarke College alumni constitutes the talents and great strengths possessed by each alumni member. The alumni of Clarke College serve as leaders in the community through many professions, and as a whole through the cultivation and enrichment of the human mind and spirit. To maintain effective communication and competitive edge, one of the newest business tools accessed on the internet today is streaming media. Clarke’s uses this tool through their Webcast network which allows Clarke to broadcast audio and This environment support reflects upon the efficient, quality, leading edge that can be provided to the alumni staff of Clarke College.Through our Webcast alum’s can stay tuned to the Alumni Association, Clarke News, Events, and upcoming alumni events through the advanced audio and visual effects.
