Civil Outreach • Civil GPS Service Interface Committee • The Civil GPS Service Interface Committee is the recognized world-wide forum for effective interaction between civil GPS users and the U.S. government service providers. • 500 Members: U.S. Federal, State, Non-U.S., Industry, Universities, 53 Nations • Meet twice a year in plenary sessions

The Way Ahead • Joint DOT / DoD GPS User Support Center • Continuous performance monitoring • Efficient / Timely response to user problem reports and requests for information • Coordinated collection, analysis, and distribution of information related to GPS performance, anomalies, and service disruption or degradation

Summary • Civil Interface Role • The U.S. Department of Transportation has: • provided timely GPS information to users worldwide • provided the means for all GPS users to interface with GPS management • The U.S. Department of Transportation will: • improve existing GPS information systems to better serve GPS users worldwide • continue and enhance the interaction with all GPS users
