LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation The main aim of the project was to increase the attractiveness and effectiveness of existing guidance services for young people at school level by transferring an innovative guidance toolkit from Turkey (EU-funded project SVET) to the school level of the educational systems of Bulgaria, Romania and Greece.

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation Information, development and training modulesused: • survey on the pupils’ needs • survey on the labour market needs and educational services in the above mentioned countries and a list of up-to-date professions in the region • application of psycho diagnostic methodology for measuring of the personal and professional profile of young people at school level • soft competences training.

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation The concrete objectives were: • To provide pupils, teachers and trainers with multilingual web-based information platform on vocational guidance (types of professions and skills needed) and labour market tendencies (perspective occupations and skills needed) which would improve their knowledge and self-understanding of guidance needs in this age group. • To develop and integrate a set of interactive guidance toolkits into the guidance systems of participating countries that would help pupils to make informed choice for their future personal and vocational development.

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation The concrete objectives were: • To train 200 pupils in soft competences which would allow them to achieve better understanding of one’s personal and professional profile to make justified career choice. • To train 20 teachers and trainers in interactive guidance methods and tools for the primary education level which would improve the quality and attractiveness of the services they render.

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation Short-term outcomes of the project: • A set of flexible and user-friendly guidance tools for young people at school level on the basis of the transfer from SVET project and complemented by three modules set out above. • An electronic platform with info and training materials for young people and counsellors.

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation Long-term outcomes of the project: • Raised awareness of young people and their parents in the countries involved for the career opportunities in the region and the skills required for these professions. • Raised understanding of young people and their parents for their personal qualities and abilities and professional aptitude. • Improved methods of counsellors of young people at school level.

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation Results: Our project used and adopted the Turkish methodology – with emphasis on the interactive part (audio-visual cds) for the vocational guidance needs at primary education level in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece. The methodology is updated and upgraded in the following directions

LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation CDs: • Updating and defining the scope of information – through surveys of educational opportunities (list of professions) of the national education system of each partner and labour market needs in the region • Restructuring of content – the partners agreed on the basic framework of CDs and each partner had the freedom to add content in order to answer as fully as possible to the respective national specifics.

  13. LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of Innovation Project products: • Interactive web-based platform • CD’s with 18 professions in 4 languages • Methodology for vocational guidance • Methodology for training of soft skills • Methodology for training of trainers for vocational guidance
