  3. Places • Human Characteristics- main languages, customs, beliefs, work, population, and places. anything made by humans • Physical Characteristics- plants, rivers, mountains, hills, valleys, soil, vegetation, wildlife, natural resources, anything formed by nature

  4. Human Environment Interaction • How do humans and the environment affect each other? • We depend on it • We modify (change) it • We adapt to it • We use its natural resources • We change the landscape

  5. Movement • How are people, goods, and ideas moved from place to place? • Human movement • Information movement • Movement of goods

  6. Regions • How are regions similar to and different from other places? • Climate Formal Regions • Landforms Political Regions • Population Functual Regions • Government Economical Regions • Physical/ Human Characteristics Vernacular Regions
