  1. How to operate the extrude features First off, let’s begin with the shape that we left off with.

  2. In order for any of the extrudes to works we need to deal with these two lines, because they do not make an enclosed shape. We can either destroy them, make them construction lines, or close off the lines. I saw we will close them off.

  3. Now that the thingy is enclosed, we can extrude! Although first you have to exit the sketch, via the same button you used to start it.

  4. Now that you’ve done all that, we can extrude. However, at this point there is really only one extrude feature we can use at this time. The extrude base/boss

  5. What you have to do is click on the extrude feature and then select the your circle (on the line). Then you just drag the arrow to what ever length you want! (notice that the triangle in the centre does not extrude… that’s normal) and then once you have what you want you click the check mark near the top left of the screen.

  6. Now that we have an extruded thingy, we can use the extrude cut tool. Which is located at the top kind-of-left of the screen.

  7. To make a cut, you need to make another sketch on one of the faces of the 3D object. (refer to the “Creating a sketch on an existing flat surface” tutorial).

  8. After you’ve drawn your sketch, just click on the cut extrude tool and drag the arrow to the desired cut, or all the way through. And then click the check mark.

  9. Have a good rest of your life. An your done!
