  3. We are the only school of the three Ahtme district schools where there are two teacher`s staffs: Estonian and Russian. • Language Immersion Classes appeared for the non-Estonian children who want to get education in the state language.

  4. The emblem of our school is the open book. It shows our wish to get to know new things.

  5. Students of our school take part in Subject Olympiads and in sport competitions. Every year our students achieve honourable places in them.

  6. Being the multicultural school we value the traditions of other nationalities.We preserve Estonian and Russian national traditions and customs.

  7. Small pupils take part in seasonal fairs and they also take part in the school choir and perform on the national holidays.

  8. Our school also has subject weeks, where students can test their skills, participate in different contests and compete against other students.

  9. Holidays which we celebrate in our school September - Day of Knowledge, the annual day of Health October- the Freshman’ Day/ Teachers’ Day, Halloween November- St. Martin's Day (November 11th), Fathers’ Day (November 16th), St. Catherine's Day (November 25th), Thanksgiving Day, Citizen`s Day or a Debate Day (November 26th) December- Christmas week January- Tatiana`s Day (25th January) February- St. Valentine’s Day, Independence Day March- Mother Language Day, Shrove Tuesday, April- April 1st,school birthday (April 4th),Easter Day May- Mothers’ Day, the Day of Europe, the Last School Bell June- Graduation Ceremonies and Parties

  10. Our school organizes trips to historic sites, museums, and nature centers. Trips last from one to some days. We visited many popular places of Estonia.

  11. Latvia: Riga, Liepaja, Daugavpils , • Lithuania: Vilnius, Klaipeda, • Russia: St. Petersburg, Pskov, • Finland: Helsinki, • Sweden: Stockholm, • Poland:Warsaw, Olsztyn, • Germany: Berlin, Dresden, Rotenberg, Heidelberg, Kenzingn, Freiberg,

  12. France: Paris, • Italy: Salerno and Napoli, Pompei, archaeological site of Paestum • Greece:Thessaloniki, Ancient Pydna, Makrygialos, Dion, Liticoron and mountain of Olympus • Spain: Bilbao, • Turkey: Istanbul and many other beautiful places around the world.

  13. Students of our school have been honored four times to visit European Parliament in Strasburg. It was in March 2007, in September 2009, in April 2011 and in March 2013. It was possible only because the teacher of history helped them in everything.

  14. Students of our school took part in Euroscola four times. Speech in the European Parliament.

  15. Students can see different cultures thanks to the Comenius projects of 2011-2013 and 2012-2014 which are conducted by our teachers. The slogan of Comenius project 2011-2013
