Reviewing our Brief • To develop capability across the KC schools in aspects of assessment such as knowledge of, and selection of appropriate tools; administration of assessments; analysis and interpretation of data; use of assessment information; moderation within and across schools. • Analysis of Mathematics PAT and other related data to identify what this reveals about the state of Mathematics achievement and progress across the KC. This will be followed up with a planned inquiry that includes a ‘theory of improvement’.

  4. KC Requirement • To identify progress and achievement in Mathematics across the KC schools. • A summary of the state of Mathematics achievement, including strengths and weaknesses, across the KC region. • To develop a theory of improvement and a proposed plan of implementation; • To plan and hold at least one event for KC teachers in relation to the Brief.

  5. National Goals • Strengthen professional learning communities and increase collaboration across the regional cluster schools. • Increase the understanding of the contribution that ICTs can make to effective learning across the regional cluster.

  6. Inquiry Cycle • What educational outcomes are valued for our students, teachers, leaders, facilitators? • How are we doing in relation to those outcomes?
