Vertical Industry Demo • The End-to-End solution is illustrated with a vertical industry scenario • The sample usage model shows a field insurance agent using the End-to-End solution stack to achieve his/her full potential and increase efficiency • The agent uses Microsoft Office 2003 forms to record customer information offline • When the agent enters a WiFi hotspot, the information is synchronized back to a server database

Architecture The insurance company’s back-end database runs on the Intel Itanium 2 processor designed to take the load of serving the whole company and keep going When the agent encounters a WiFi hotspot the customer data accumulated while offline is synchronized back to the server through the WiFi connection and the Internet The field agent’s data is kept synchronized with the database via Microsoft BizTalk server running on powerful Intel Xeon MP-based servers Agent collects customer info on the go with his/her Intel Centrino Mobile Technology-powered Tablet PC

  7. Hardware Requirements • 1 x Intel Itanium 2 server • 1 x Intel Xeon (Nocona) server • 1 x Intel Centrino Tablet PC • 1 x WiFi access point • 1 x KVM switch, monitor, keyboard & mouse • 1 x Ethernet switch + cables
