  2. Be PROUD of your accomplishment! 4/5 students in Alberta graduate in three years. 400 LBP students are walking the stage. Ceremony: FORMAL “academic” affair vs. Banquet: FORMAL “party” event

  3. What should I have done already? • Thanked my support system: parents, teachers, friends (significant people in your life). • Finished my shopping!!! (Wednesday, at the latest) • Made my hair/make-up appointments BEFORE the ceremony. • Asked my date what color their dress/suit is. Placed an order for their corsage.

  4. What can we do the morning of grad?

  6. What should I wear to the ceremony? LBP Grad Gown  RED Formal Ceremony • No jeans. • No flowers/purses. • No suit jackets. • Black = safe. • Avoid heavy clothing. • Appropriate shoes.

  7. The Ceremony starts at 12:15? 1:00? pm Reality: 1:15 pm • Beware of late friends/family members. • Driving to Stampede grounds in crazy Calgary… • Paying for parking ($15) • Time for pictures in your gown!

  8. Where is the Corral?

  9. 26-28 min car or 45 min by transit

  11. PARKING COSTS: $15.00 for 1 entry

  13. How do I get my gown? Words of wisdom from Ms. Sareen: • Arrive early (12:00 pm?) for lots of pictures! • Location for pick-up: Door 6 Entrance (opposite end of the entry) • Gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony. • Choir, band and speakers will get priority in getting their gowns.

  14. How do I get a program? They will be on your seats in the Corral. Parents will get a program at the door from Ms. Lieske, Ms. Morris and Ms. Mitchell. Please leave at your seat when walking up to the stage.

  15. When should I take pictures? BEFORE THE CEREMONY.

  16. When do I line up? • 12:20 pm: Find your Connect teacher/Wall sign • Murphy (ALP) to Walliser/Easingwood: Hallway 1 • Barone to Laforest: Hallway 2 • Stand alphabetically by LAST name in your Connect Class. • Why is it important to be in this order? •  Make sure it is YOUR name that is announced. •  Lifetouch photos.
