  4. “Be” Verbs (“sein” – verb) ich bin wir sind du bist ihr seid er ist sie sind sie ist Sie sind I am, you are, he is, she is… we are, y’all are, they are, YOU are

  5. “have” verbs (“haben” – verb) ich habe wir haben du hast ihr habt er hat sie haben sie hat Sie haben I have, you have, he/.she has… we /y’all / they/ you have

  6. Possessive Pronouns mein- myunser- our dein- youreuer- y’alls sein- hisihr - their ihr- herIhr– your(Fm.) add ending based on gender of noun: -e (er,en,em)

  7. Sentence Rules!!! • 1: Subj. & Verb go side by side (order doesn’t matter) • 2: Verb goes 2nd • Except in a guess or command • Remember correct verb endings • 3: If using a MODAL verb – the Infinitive verb goes last (“en” form)

  8. Accusative Pronouns (D.O.) für michfor mefür unsfor us für dichfor youfür euchfor y’all für ihnfor himfür siefor them für siefor herfür Siefor You Used as Direct Object pronouns and after the “für” preposition. (Level 1)

  9. Dative Pronouns (I.O.) mir- meuns- us dir- youeuch- y’all ihm- himihnen- them ihr- herIhnen–you (Fm.) Used as Indirect Object pronouns and after the “zu/mit” prepositions. (Level 2)

Sentence Rules Again!!! 1: Subj. & Verb go side by side (order doesn’t matter) 2: Verb goes 2nd Except in a guess or command Remember correct verb endings 3: If using a MODAL verb – the Infinitive goes last (“en” form) 4: Verb Kick’n Comma Clauses After a comma, weil, dass, question words – kick verb to the end 5: Past Tense Participles Go Last “have – bought” ….”habe” is in verb position and “gekauft” goes last
