Purpose & Benefits • Purpose • Summarized JIT calls are used for the receipt of required materials which do not have any reference to the finished product and are not delivered in sequence. • The delivery to a summarized JIT call can take place using exact times and also several times a day. • Benefits • Long term material requirement information is communicated between OEM and supplier via forecast delivery schedule in IDoc. • Summarized JIT call is generated based on the real production situation on OEM side. • You have the possibility of grouping several material requirements to a JIT call.

  4. Detail Process Description • Scheduling Agreement with Summarized JIT Call • The OEM creates planned independent requirements and generates an MRP run. The OEM sends the forecast delivery schedules to the supplier. For material staging, the OEM creates a summarized JIT call and sends it to the supplier. The supplier creates a delivery based on the incoming summarized JIT call. The supplier posts the goods issue, and carries out the billing. • The OEM posts the goods receipt for the summarized JIT call. The OEM completes and reorganizes summarized JIT call.
