  1. Bullying is an act that is done on purpose. Bullies use their power (physical size, age, social status, computer skills, etc.) to threaten, harass, or hurt others. Bullying happens over and over to one person or a group of people. Bullying happens in four basic ways: physical, verbal, indirect, and cyber bullying. (Law.utoledo.edu)

  2. Physical Bullying Physical bullying happens when there is hitting, kicking, punching, taking peoples’ belongings or other acts that hurt people physically and that happen repeatedly (not just one time). (Law.utoledo.edu)

  3. Verbal Harassment Verbal bullying happens when people are teased in a mean way or called hurtful names. (Law.utoledo.edu)

  4. Indirect Bullying Indirect bullying happens when people spread mean rumors about others, when people are intentionally kept out, or excluded from a “group,” or when mean gestures are made towards others. (Law.utoledo.edu)

  5. Cyber-bullying Cyber-bullying happens when people are teased, taunted, or threatened through e-mail, cell phone, text messaging, instant messaging, chat rooms, or other electronic methods. (Law.utoledo.edu)

  8. Anonymous Reporting Box *In Library at center table. Buddy Box Form: Yellow- Report bullying for self or others. Purple- Request help for self or others *Can be anonymous or include name. Box is checked daily by counselors.

  9. Promote UNITY! • TREAT EACH OTHER WITH RESPECT! • CELEBRATE AND ACCEPT DIFFERENCES! • INCLUDE & INVOLVE OTHERS IN A POSITIVE WAY! • RESOLVE CONFLICTS PEACEFULLY! • REACH OUT TO PEOPLE YOU TRUST!

  10. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH MIX IT UP AT LUNCH STEP INTO THE DRIVER’S SEAT AND PUT A STOP TO BULLYING AT NOJH!
