  3. A Couple of Really Neat Guys p.101 • Before we read: • Do you litter? • If you saw someone else littering what would you do? (2 mins)

  4. A Couple of Really Neat Guys p.101 • What a voice! This author was very opinionated and did something about it. He is very clear with how he feels by his tone of voice. Tone is the feeling/attitude of the author towards the subject, in this case littering. • In your group discuss what is his feeling/attitude towards littering? • How did he make this feeling obvious in the text? • (3 mins)

  5. Your Turn! (17 mins) • In groups you will make a poster to persuade others that a couple of really neat guys are heroes OR not heroes! Use your text for ideas and support. Please Cite! • Your poster must include: • Your opinion about the heroes. • Facts and explanations to back it up • Acknowledge the opposition • Prove the opposition wrong with your strongest argument.
