  3. Official Abstract • Will list: • Candidates for: • Federal Office • Statewide Office • Legislative Office • Judicial Office • County Office • Write-Ins • Voting Statistics • Number of Absentee Ballots

  4. Candidate List • Provided by: • Secretary of State’s Office • Federal • Statewide • Legislative • Judicial • County Office • County candidates list needs to be sent to the Secretary of States Office • Email: bkimbrough@sos.idaho.gov • Fax: (208) 334-2282 • Write-Ins

  5. Verify Upon Receipt • Precincts • Verify precincts are listed correctly • Names • Order • Candidates • Verify candidates are listed correctly • Names • Order

  6. Completing the Abstract • Candidates • Declared Candidates • Write-Ins • Even if there are no votes cast • Measures (if applicable) • Absentees • Voting Statistics

  7. Candidates • Declared Candidates • Enter results by precinct on the Official Abstract of Votes • Write-Ins • Enter results by precinct on the Official Declared Write-In Candidates Abstract • Even if there are no votes cast

  8. Measures (If Applicable) • Enter results by precinct on the Official Abstract of Votes • Statewide Measures • Listed by Secretary of State • County Measures • Send with the list of county candidates

  9. Absentee Precinct! • For an absentee precinct • Do Not List: • # of registered voters at the cut-off • # of election day registrants • Total # of registered voters • Do list • # of ballots cast

  11. No Absentee Precinct! • Enter: • Total number of absentee ballots cast on the bottom of the Official Abstract of Votes. • Does not have to be by precinct!

  12. Voting Statistics • Enter: • # of registered voters at cut-off • Include post-marked registrations • Less any cancellation notices • # of Election Day Registrations • Total # of Registered voters • Add registered voters at cut-off toElection Day Registrations

  13. Canvassing Votes • Only needs a quorum • Do not hold up certification for all three commissioners signatures. • Submit to the Secretary of State’s Office • By May 30, 2006

  14. Email • Completed Abstract to elections@sos.idaho.gov

  15. Mail • Mail the following: • Printed copy of the completed Official Abstract of Votes • Candidates • Measures • Write-Ins • Voting Statistics • Signed Certification • Diskette or CD • If file was not emailed
