Details, Details, Details • Where? • Prescott Pines, Prescott, AZ • Located on 85 acres adjacent to the Prescott National Forest • Located at approximately 6100 feet altitude • Has been providing Outdoor Education facilities for over 10 years • Licensed by Yavapai County to operate a camp facility • Member of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce

  3. When? • Wednesday, February 8th– depart at 9:15 A.M. arrive at camp 12:00 P.M. • Student brings sack lunch for Wednesday, February 8th • Friday, February 10th return to Basha at approximately 2:30 P.M.

  4. Classes Offered Sample Menu of classes: • Survival • Forestry • Owl Pellet Study • Environment -- Bean Peak hike • Archery • Low Rope Challenge 6th grade teachers and Administration will decide on classes as they fit into current 6th grade curriculum

  5. Facilitated Fun • Gaga Ball • Campfire • Gym access • Camp Songs • Skit Night

Lodging and Chaperones • 2 nights lodging - bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, and extra blanket • 1 cabin for male students and chaperones, a separate cabin for female students and chaperones, plus a separate cabin for teachers • Chaperones: one adult chaperone per cabin group. Approximately 1:8 chaperone/student ratio. • Chaperones submit to fingerprinting and background check • Chaperones participate in all activities

  7. Meals 6 meals - served “all-you-can-eat” buffet style: Day 1: students will bring a lunch and dinner will be provided at camp. Day 2: breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided by camp Day 3: breakfast and lunch will be provided by camp

  8. Linens and Clothes Students need to bring their own sleeping bag, pillow, extra blanket, and towels. Students need to dress in layers! It will be COLD in February. Jeans Long sleeves T-shirts Jacket Gloves or mittens and hat Boots and/or tennis shoes Shorts not recommended Flip flops may be used for shower purposes only! Fragrances not permitted!

  9. Electronics Students are not allowed to bring electronics (cell phones, video games, etc.) Students will be allowed to use the phone at the camp, in case of an emergency. Parents will be provided with the camp phone number, in case of an emergency.

  10. Tax Credit Donations Make a tax credit donation and you will get this money refunded to you, in full, when you file your taxes. • Field trip camp fees have been assigned in Infinite Campus (IC) and must be paid in IC. • All monies are tax deductible • Chaperone fees will be assigned in IC when they have been chosen. • https://campus.cusd80.com/campus/portal/chandler.jsp

Information to Watch For The following information will be coming home with your student: Student Behavior Contract Student Information/Health Form Packing List Chaperone training event Chaperone contracts will be sent home when fingerprinting is confirmed. Chaperones will be designated by Basha Elementary School staff.
