PROBLEMÁTICA • No se cuenta con un padrón georeferenciado que indique la superficie real existente de nopal forrajero, tuna, verdura y xoconoxtle. • En tuna se tienen huertas muy atomizadas y poco tecnificadas. • No hay volúmenes importantes de variedades más demandadas en mercados de exportación (Tuna). • Alta concentración de la producción e un periodo muy corto en tuna (julio-septiembre), en nopal (junio-septiembre). • No existe infraestructura agroindustrial para producir productos procesados y de mayor valor agregado en nopal y tuna. • Altas afectaciones por contingencias climatológicas (Sequias y granizadas). • El nopal es un cultivo poco valorizado por los consumidores.
