  1. Curry’s Paradox Michael Fries Math 90 Dr. Peters

  2. **Show different view of the paradox, two triangles in one place.. • **Perhaps a movie file?

  3. How? • **slide in first triangle, then 2nd distinguish slopes.

  4. Proportions • Analyze the proportions of what we are dealling with • 1x1 square, 2x5, 3x8, 5x13, re-arrange these quantities in a movie, to show them in the sequence • 1,1,2,3,5,8,13.. What is this?

  5. Areas • 1: 8 x 3 = 24÷2= 12 • 2: 5 x 2 = 10÷2=5 • 3:**show units = 7 units • 4:**show units = 8 units • Aggregate = 12 + 5 + 7 +8= 32 • T= 13 X 5 = 65÷2 = 32.5 • 32.5-32=.5 • Aggregate with hole = 12 +5 +7+8+1=33

  6. Fibonacci Sequence • Fibonacci Sequence • 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 etc.. • The set of numbers where each successive number is derived as the sum of the two preceding numbers.

  7. Cassini’s Identity • **These numbers correlate to the sequence, does the fact that these numbers are in the sequence provide a solution for why this happens? • Yes, through Cassini’s Identity. • Fn+1Fn-1 - Fn=(-1)ⁿ

  8. Different Versions of Paradox • Show different interesting versions of the paradox.
