  8. Operation Overview Windows/mirrors Steering wheel stalks Windscreen wipers Cruise Control CC activation CC safety functions Speed Limiter Engine brake / Intarder Steering wheel Adjustment range Parking brake • Cruise Control is also active in case of exceeding the speed set by the driver, e.g. when downhill driving: • When actual speed exceeds set speed by 2 km/h: • automatic intervention of engine brake • When actual speed exceeds set speed by 4 km/h: • automatic intervention of Intarder (if present) • or: automatic downshifting of EuroTronic (if no Intarder present) • When actual speed exceeds set speed by 6 km/h: • automatic downshifting of EuroTronic (with Intarder) • Driver's comfort • Increased safety

  9. Operation Overview Windows/mirrors Steering wheel stalks Windscreen wipers Cruise Control CC activation CC safety functions Speed Limiter Engine brake / Intarder Steering wheel Adjustment range Parking brake SPEED LIMITER (IN ADDITION TO THE "LEGAL” ONE) It is possible to memorise any speed as an actual speed limit by pressing this right hand stalk downwards. This helps to maintain temporarily existing speed limits. Disengagement is done with a second press of the stalk downwards. The actually set "Cruise Control" speed together with the actual "Speed Limiter" speed is indicated on the central display.

Vehicles with Intarder: Vehicles without Intarder:(7 positions) (3 positions) 0 : disengaged 0 : disengaged 1 : engine brake 100% 1 : engine brake 50% (EuroTronic: 100%) 2 : engine brake + Intarder (low) 2 : engine brake 100% (ET: + downshift) 6 : engine brake + Intarder 100% (EuroTronic: + downshifting)

  11. Operation Overview Windows/mirrors Steering wheel stalks Windscreen wipers Cruise Control CC activation CC safety functions Speed Limiter Engine brake / Intarder Steering wheel Adjustment range Parking brake Finding and adjusting an individual comfortable and convenient driving position for the steering wheel is very easy and simple. Pushing on a floor button just in front of the steering coloumn is pneumatically releasing the steering wheel lock. Now the steering wheel can be moved into the desired position. Releasing the push button: the actual position is immediately fixed.
