  4. Bevölkerung Etwa 60% der Bevölkerung sind sesshafte Oasenbauern, die restlichen 40% sind Nomaden. Die geringe einheimische Bevölkerung besteht hauptsächlich aus Arabern, Berbern und Mauren. Daneben gibt es kleinere Gruppen wie die Tubu und die Tuareg. Franziska Nießen
