  2. Are students allowed to wear hats in the building? NO *Boys AND girls should not wear hats in the building (including the hood on your jacket). *Hats shouldn’t be worn on belt loops. *Girls should not wear hair bonnets and netted caps.

  3. Are we allowed to wear jeans with holes in them? Not above the knee Jeans can not have ANY holes above the knee.

  4. Is it okay to fold your agenda? NO Agendas should be treated with the same care as a textbook. Students should NOT… • Fold the agenda to look like an accordion • Draw across the pages in markers and pens • Tear out pages The agenda is used as communication between parents, teachers, and administrators.

  5. Is it okay to wear tights? Technically…. When wearing tights, your shirt should be long enough to pass the “index card from the knee” rule. Tights worn as pants are strictly prohibited.

  6. It is okay for girls to carry tote bags to class. Any girl that carries a tote bag/handbag big enough to put a notebook or clothes in MUST put it in her locker.

  7. House shoes are meant to be worn at home…not school. This includes shower shoes (flip flops) and slides. They are NOT permitted at school.

  8. ALL shirts must be tucked in. NO exceptions. Boys must tuck in their shirts…EVEN while wearing a jacket.

  9. It is okay for students to carry a draw string bag. Draw string bags are prohibited. They can not be used as a book bag or gym bag. Gym clothes must be placed in plastic bags. Any student carrying a draw string bag will risk losing it for the semester and/or year.

  10. Is it okay to bring a blanket to school? No This is not a daycare…it’s middle school. Leave the blankets at home.

  11. Is it okay to wear a bandana or head wrap? No Printed bandanas should not be worn as a head band. Head wraps should be worn at home…not school.

  12. Should a cell phone be heard or seen? No Cell phones should not be visible in your back pocket or on your waist. Keep them at home or in your locker!

  13. Can I bring a bottled drink to school? Yes, but… Glass bottles are prohibited. Open containers are strictly prohibited. You can NOT carry an open container out of the cafeteria. If you plan to have something for an after-school activity, it must stay in your locker (unopened) until then.

  14. What happens if I don’t follow any of these rules and others? Demerit…Demerit...Demerit A demerit will be given immediately for any infraction (ANY teacher can give a student a demerit).
