PERSIAN GULF VETERANS BENEFIT PROGRAM Rooted in Title 43, Military Affairs, Chapter 9, Persian Gulf Conflict Veterans’ Benefit Program Purpose The purpose of this regulation is to implement a new program providing a veterans’ benefit, in the form of a “bonus” payment, to an estimated 32,000 eligible Pennsylvania veterans of the first Persian Gulf War (August 2, 1990 - August 31, 1991) and to survivors of veterans who died in performance of active service during the period or as a result of service-connected wounds, diseases or injuries. PERSIAN GULF VETERANS BENEFIT PROGRAM • A one-time benefit of $75 per month for each month (or major fraction thereof) of active service in the Persian Gulf Conflict Theater of Operations during the covered period.
