  2. 1) New Jersey law requires all applicants for any license to have their eyesight checked through a vision test given by: • A doctor or administered at an MVC agency.

  3. 2) All applicants for the basic driver license must pass a knowledge test of: • 40/50 questions correct (80%) • Based on: • Traffic Laws • Rules • And Regulations

  4. Arabic Chinese French Japanese Korean Polish Portuguese Russian Spanish 3) MVC can administer the knowledge test in English and what 9 foreign languages.

  5. 4) Applicants who do not read in any language may have an oral exam conducted in what two languages? • English or • Spanish

Seat belts are required on all vehicles manufactured after July 1, 1966.
