  3. Nutrition and Wellness Students cook and analyze dietary factors that promote proper nutrition and wellness. We walk a lot and eat right ! Cross credited for Health.

  4. Imagine the possibilities: Careers with Children If you like kids this is the class for you. Work in the community at daycares, preschools, public and private schools. Earn college credit. Recommended prerequisite for Careers in Education. Best to take both semesters for optimal cross college credit and experience. COLLEGE CREDIT

  5. Interior Design Learn design techniques that become stepping stones for the world of design   Design exciting interiors for a bedroom dream kitchen starter home learn about the world of interior design. Great hands on class.

  6. Fashion Design & Apparel If you like to design and draw clothes while exploring the world of fashion this is the course for you. Several hands on projects– design a designer accessory learn beginning draping techniques, analyze what looks good on you. Explore career options in the world of Fashion

  7. Work Base Learning Get credit for working. Consider as a Junior or Senior. Must be 16. 90 hours = .25 credit 180 hours = .5 credit ( one semester ). See Ms. Baglien or Mrs. Eckleman for more information.

  8. Family Careers and Community Leaders of America FCCLA has many opportunities for you to learn leadership skills and give back to your home, school or community. What’s in it for you?

  9. FCCLA Leadership Join FCCLA through Family and Consumer Science Classes Participate in fun leadership projects Attend Regional, State and even National Conferences Great way to earn leadership points towards college entrance and looks good on a resume !

  10. 2014 Winners at Regionals Clothing Drive nets big rewards

  11. Our collections piled up daily. We started out slow, because of Thanksgiving break, but classes really got into it through December 16th when the drive was over.

  12. Wow, this is a lot of clothes. Our total collected was over 1015 items of clothing and personal care items.

  13. Nasarin Ahmed, FCCLA Co- Chair and Teresa Regalado, FCCLA- Historian clean out the teacher work room of collected clothing after Dr. Baglien’s classroom was over filling

  15. Our Chapter in Action… Auburn Mountainview FCCLA members load up the AYR van with clothing drive bounty!

  16. How do I join FCCLA? Pay dues of $20.00 Participate in fund raising to pay dues- Fund raiser is cell phone cases, license plates, iPod cases, iPad covers, key rings, and bag tags. Earn $100.00 of sales = $ 40.00. (40% profit) Remaining funds go into club account to help pay for registration to attend leadership events and projects. Pay dues by October 5th. All dues for National Affiliation due by October 25th. We need 12 members to be a chapter.

FCCLA Fall Conference FCCLA Region 3 Fall Leadership Conference Conference Overview: When: October 16th, 2014 Time: 8:30 am to 1:00pm (registration from 8:00-8:30) Where: Tacoma School District Professional Development Center Cost: $12 per student and advisor, with breakfast and lunch included Registration Deadline: October 9th, 2014
