  1. The Christ-Centered Mind: Taking it to the Street

  2. APOLOGETICS Explain Faith Answer Questions Defend Attacks LIFE

  3. Case in point: Paul in Athens (Acts 17) 24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.  Who He is

  4. Case in point: Paul in Athens (Acts 17) 26 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  What He has done

  5. Case in point: Paul in Athens (Acts 17) 27 God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ Why He has done it

  6. 29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by man’s design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.” Acts 17:24-31 Response

  7. 1. It’s not an argument or a fight 23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth . . . 2 Timothy 2:23-25

  8. It’s your opportunity to confidently • represent God 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. Ephesians 6:19-20

  9. It’s your responsibility to be sensitive, • to listen and respond. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6

  10. The Christ-Centered Mind: Taking it to the Street Two Keys *God is at work. You are not alone. *Talk what you know about.

  11. “I have a problem with religion or anything that says, ‘We have all the answers,’ because there’s no such thing as ‘the answers.’ We’re complex. We change our minds on issues all the time. Religion leaves no room for human complexity.” Daniel Radcliffe

  12. ULTIMATE questions… Origin: Where did everything come from? Meaning: Why are we here? Morality: How should we live? Destiny: What’s next? . . . for me? . . . everything?
