  1. The Christ-Centered Life • Walk Worthy (Ephesians 4:1) • Walk Differently(Ephesians 4:17) • Walk in Love (Ephesians 5:2)

  2. Walk in Love command and model Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in love . . . Ephesians 5:1-2

  3. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

  4. Walk in Love command and model Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in love . . . Ephesians 5:1-2

  5. Walk in Lovecommand and model Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

  6. Walk in Love LOVE: Desiring and acting in the best interests of others

  7. Walk in Lovedetours and cul-de-sacs But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. Ephesians 5:3-4

  8. Walk in Lovedetours and cul-de-sacs Sex- outside the covenant marriage relationship

  9. Myths of the Prevailing CultureLove and Sex 1.Love is a feeling and sex is the adult way to express it. 2. Sex is just like everything else; in order to make wise choices about it, you have to experience it. 3. Without sex, you’ll never know whether you’re compatible with someone; without living together, you’ll never know whether a marriage would work.

  10. Myths of the Prevailing CultureLove and Sex Sex outside of marriage is romantic. Sex outside of marriage holds relationships together. Sex outside of marriage is a sign of commitment. 7.Sex is a physical need and physical needs can’t be wrong. 8. Sex is for pleasure and pleasure can’t be wrong. 9. Marriage is boring because there isn’t any variety.

  11. Walk in Lovedetours and cul-de-sacs Sex- outside the covenant marriage relationship Greed -the inordinate desire to possess things with the intention to keep them for one's self Vulgarity - Crudely indecent;tasteless;designed to incite to lust or depravity

  12. Walk in Lovetruth and consequence For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:5-7

  13. Take a Step ASK 1. When was the last time I sacrificially helped someone? 2. How much of my thought life and actions are focused on lust and sex? 3. When I talk, do I build up or do I tear down? Because of God’s great love for us, Christ came and paid our debt and made us His child. Now we live out this same love to everyone around us.

  14. Take a Step ACT • Today, I will reach out to show God’s love to someone. Make it a habit. 2. Today, I will deliberately eliminate all access to pornography. Find accountability. 3. Listen! See life as a gift and be thankful. “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35).
