  1. The Case of the Missing Kickballs Angela Alexander Katarina Hanson Kyle Tollefson Brittney Graham

  2. The Ransom Note Dear Sixth Graders-   I know today was the day you were going to have a ball enjoying your kickball tournament. But you aren’t going to play without me. If I can’t play, then no one will! If you want your bag of kickballs back, you better listen up closely because you won’t get them back until I get some money. That’s right: this is a ransom note! I expect to see $200.00 for the twenty kickballs by noon next Friday. Put the money in the gym closet. If I don’t get the money, you don’t get your kickballs. Hope you are getting as big of a kick out of this as I am. Signed, The Ball-napper

  3. Introduction to the Unit • Introduce the students to the unit theme and the crime scene (the gym). • Introduce the students to what they will be doing in each class.

  4. Unit Daily Schedule

  5. The Final Day of the Unit • Court Day • The sixth grade students will participate in a mock trial with a judge, jury, witnesses, and suspects during the morning of this last day of the unit. • There will be a recess from court where the students go to lunch and recess. • When court comes back in session in the afternoon, the ball-napper will confess and the sixth graders engage in a kickball tournament.

  6. Principal Barton, you stole our kickballs?!!!!!
