  2. Rules: • A demonstrative adjective comes before a noun that it describes. • Demonstrative adjectives tell which one or which ones. • This That These Those

  3. This and These • This and These are demonstrative adjectives that point to nearby people or things. • Thisglass next to me is empty. • Theselenses magnify objects.

  4. That and Those • That and Those are demonstrative adjectives that point out people and things far away. • Pick up thatbox over there. • We can use thosemirrors by the window.

  5. Use This and That with singular nouns. • Thispicture is crystal clear. • That mirror is broken.

  6. Use These and Those with objects that are plural. • These pictures are perfect for my album. • Those mirrors will go perfectly in my hallway.
