  2. Demonstrative Adjectives • Demonstrative adjectives point out things. Use forms of este for things close to you. Use forms of ese for things farther away.

Demonstrative Adjectives • Demonstrative Adjectives must agree in gender and number with the object they are describing. • estevestido – this dress • estacamisa – this shirt • estospantalones – these pants • estasbolsas – these purses • ese sombrero – that hat • esablusa – that blouse • esoszapatos – those shoes • esaschaquetas – those jackets

  4. Demonstrative Adjectives • You may forget which demonstrative adjectives are used for things that are close and which are used for things that are farther away. • The words that contain the letter “t” (este, esta, estos, estas) are the ones used that are close enough to touch.
