State of art (objections, constraints) • Negative image of mobility (tourism) • Leaving of a needed work force, no replacement or no motivation of the apprentice to leave on mobility • Depending sector of activity, timing might not be appropriate • Absence of appropriate HR structure, but complexity of administration • Different legislation and legal status from one country to another, but legal responsibility of the company is engaged • Language barriers for the company • Economic issues for the company: need of return of investment • Lack of information about profile and competences of apprentices from another country, what is expected from the company (needs to formalize) Can we have the same approach for all type / size of companies ? Are all companies potentially able to use / offer mobility ? Peer Learning Seminar– 16th & 17th November 2011

Success criteria for mobilisation of companies (benefits) Improve – enhance image of the company (social image, towards clients and their employees – attachment) – enhance interest about the trade Valorisation of the own work team, opportunities of new recruitment possibilities Input in terms of competences (work methods, techniques, language competence, key competences) Opening towards internationalisation Peer Learning Seminar– 16th & 17th November 2011

Success criteria's (practices) • Political dimension: will to integrate mobility at all levels, offer appropriate legal conditions, financing, facilitate partnerships and cooperation (regrouping) • Recognition and valorisation of the role / importance of intermediary bodies (for support and counselling): capacity of intermediary organisations to share information, tools, competences / expertise and knowledge and the capacity to innovate: develop interest and attractiveness of companies for mobility but also to facilitate the organisation (keep it easy for companies - integrate a network which offers help support, solutions), offer a transparent frame ( MoU) to which training centre and companies can refer to • Local level of the company and the training centre: : Choice of learner, duration of the mobility, importance of the preparation of the candidates and the companies = match the sending request with the possible offer, facilitate the network between companies = facilitate mutual trust, guaranty the quality of the partnership, secure the partnership and the placement Peer Learning Seminar– 16th & 17th November 2011

Propositions to improve companies 'motivation • Economic approach: to highlight that mobility is an economic advantage (competitiveness....) • Create an European Day of mobility (exchange of good practices...) • Create database / label (?) of companies which insure a quality placement and interested in mobility • Legal issues / financing • Create a learning agreement and memorandum of understanding • Create an optimal partnership : mutual trust Peer Learning Seminar– 16th & 17th November 2011
