Suggest Some New Ways To Find Out To Develop Critical Thinking Skills Critical thinking and decision making skills allow children to self- regulate their social, emotional, and physical responses to outside stimuli and stay in control. This consists of mentally evaluating information, analyzing that information and forming a judgment which leads to smart action. Most of all, the practice of critical thinking skills test throughout childhood contributes to healthy and independent living as an adult. The critical thinking child is not dependent upon information at face value, but rather enjoys problem assessment and reaching solutions. Let’s look at some new ways to find out to develop critical thinking skills.

  2. Gather Information- deep thinking Information comes at us in a raw form and we are bombarded every day with tons and tons of information. How do we decide what is legit information and what is secondary information • Review the assignment and understand what the logistics are and their objectives. • Find relevant information and focus on deep learning. • Analyze and clarify the information. If a child is put into a situation in which he must choose between good and bad, he can make an assessment of the situation, and using the skills he has been taught by his parents, make a good choice. Children can be taught to think a few steps ahead, envision the consequences of their actions, and make appropriate choices based on the values and morals taught by their parents.

Identify and analyze the course of action Once you got yourself into a lot of deep thinking, you must identify and examine all the sources and factors that lead or had already caused you the problem. Examine an external source which implies how other people or the world had affected you in any way towards getting into the problem. • divide the information into useful parts • Examine whether examples support ideas • distinguish fact from opinion This is where a lot of students get into trouble with their papers. Students tend to look at the assignment as a big picture assignment and this can overwhelm anyone.

  4. Evaluate the Information This is an essential step for it requires criticizing your own thoughts, understanding your emotions and controlling your actions. Self- reflection undoubtedly helps you grow. Develop the Self-Confidence The last step of developing critical thinking skill is to evaluate the information. You have gathered and analyzed the material and you have examined it examples and validity. Now it is time to evaluate whether an idea or a piece of this information is important to your paper or assignment.
