    7. About MCD what drives us The map is about major natural disasters in coastal areas. The areas with green horizontal lines are those affected by floods. Other areas with red diagonal lines are under the influence of storms/ typhoons. For light green triangles on the map, I can not see it clearly. I guess it is where the average level of rivers increase, because of natural disasters. The map is from Dyke Management, Flood and Storm Control in Vietnam, 2000. Coastal ecosystems & the services - threatened by CC All three communities are at risk from CC Unhealthy coastal ecosystems & poor local people - less resilient to CC CC impacts may weaken/eliminate impacts of conservation & livelihood improvement CC impacts can be reduced by conservation & livelihood improvement
